What is a temperament assessment?

A temperament assessment gives our staff an opportunity to meet the dog with their owner, ask some questions about the dog’s history and behaviors, and introduce the dog to the daycare experience (being on the play lot) to observe whether the dog shows any fear or anxiety or aggressive behaviors toward other dogs or staff. Following the initial meeting and initial introduction to the play lot, we require that each dog stay for a minimum of 3 hours to experience time on the playlot and in the kennels to make sure they are comfortable in our environment. At this time clients are able to tour the entire property, ask any questions that may arise and meet some of the staff who will be caring for their dog.
