Judit Arroyo CPDT-KA
Professional dog trainer Judit Arroyo (CPDT-KA) has extensive training in the social sciences. With over a decade of training experience, Judit brings a unique blend of professional experience and personal insight to every training session and class, and her students – both canine and human. She leads the dog training school. The Dog Training Program takes a unique approach to educate and develop dog trainers with the most current learning theories and techniques. Judit’s goal is to develop outstanding trainers who acquire exceptional knowledge and an abundance of experience.
In addition to her academic training, Arroyo has authored or co-authored articles for the APDT’s Chronicle of the Dog and co-authored a manuscript for dog trainers on working with human clients. Judit has also written a manuscript on training urban dogs and one on troubleshooting problematic dog behaviors.
Judit has worked with hundreds of individuals in group classes, private training sessions, and workshops on special topics such as training and living with shy, aggressive, reactive, or senior dogs. She volunteered for a decade with SitStayRead, an acclaimed dog-based literacy program serving students in under-performing Chicago Public Schools as their Test Evaluator.
Judit’s commitment to dog training and welfare extends beyond the classroom. She has volunteered for Chicago Canine Rescue, New Leash on Life, and Animal Care and Control. She has also organized fundraisers for various rescue organizations, and is a popular guest at career days in local elementary and middle schools. She currently sits on the Board for The Inner Pup of New Orleans. A national organization that focused on education and prevention of animal abuse and neglect. In addition, Judit has competed in rally obedience (Rally-O), and was the on-set dog trainer for the forthcoming movie, “Beast.” She currently competes with her Miniature Australian Shepherd, Lilu, in CPE and AKC Agility.
