Our Dog Trainers
Tilman Colbert Jones has been working with dogs in the dog industry for many years. He began his career with dogs as a kennel attendant and worked his way up from there.
Being a kennel and daycare attendant, he learned more about dogs and their behaviors through everyday activity. He began his training career at the age of 17 and has since worked with and trained pooches of all shapes and sizes as well as their owners!
At the age of 21, he became the country’s youngest certified training director where he helped a team of trainers reach their goals of competing in regional and national level championships.
Tilman is a DVG Regional and National Competitor as well as an AWDF National Competitor and has been competing with his own dogs since the age of 17 at local competitions as well as regional and national championships across the country.
Tilman became one of the first FitPaws Master trainers in the country. He has helped many dogs stay fit and also help them on their road to recovery through the FitPaws program. In addition, Tilman has helped many people train their dogs from basic obedience all the way through therapy and service dog work. He has even trained dogs to detect peanuts for people with peanut allergies.
Tilman is also an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator as well as an Iron Dog Judge. Tilman has also holds many seminars across the country (Michigan, Texas, Florida, Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois and Tennessee) for dog training, to teach handlers and dogs how to improve their skills.
He believes that each dog is different therefore no one technique will work for every dog. His goal is to make sure that everyone works as a team towards a greater purpose and goal and as always have fun with your pooch!
